Can’t turn off password-protected sharing in Windows 10 – Microsoft Community
I actually share many drives between many PC’s for 15 years and setup peoples PC’s and networks everyday and never have any problems with or without password sharing. Have anyone here found a fix yet?

Once that is off, the network credential request does not pop up when I try to access the files from the other networked computer. Hope this helps others.
